I. Prepare the Tools
Hot melt glue gun
Hot-melt glue sticks in the corresponding size (7 mm or 11 mm)
Items to be glued
Tissues / Wet wipes (for backup)
II. Correct Usage Steps
Glue stick container
Insert the glue stick into the back of the glue gun all the way to the top.
Preheat
Plug in the power and wait 3–5 minutes, until the trigger can be pressed gently to dispense the adhesive smoothly.
Apply adhesive
First, wipe the bonding surfaces clean—free of oil and water.
Pull the trigger to dispense the hot-melt adhesive and apply it to one of the surfaces.
Do not apply too much; avoid glue overflow.
Adhesive fixation
Immediately press the two parts firmly together after applying the adhesive.
Press down with your hand for 10–20 seconds, and wait for the adhesive to cool and harden.
Wrapping up
Just release your grip, and it’ll stick pretty much for sure.
Once the excess adhesive has cooled, it can be peeled off directly or trimmed away with a knife.
III. Useful Tips
Poor adhesion: Apply a bit more adhesive, extend the heating time slightly, and ensure the bonding surfaces are thoroughly cleaned.
Excess glue: Squeeze a little less; once it cools, it’ll come off with a simple flick of your finger.
Fabric, plastic, wood, and cardboard all adhere very well.
Apply a slightly thicker layer of adhesive to metal and glass.
IV. Safety Precautions
The nozzle and freshly extruded adhesive are very hot—do not touch them with your hands.
When not in use, place it on the glue gun stand—do not set it directly on the desk.
Do not heat empty for extended periods; disconnect the power when not in use.
